Pachinko Author to Speak at Ridgewood Library Luncheon

Best-selling author and National Book Award finalist for her book Pachinko, Min Jin Lee will speak at this year’s 30th annual Friends of the Ridgewood Library Author Luncheon on April 3. Pachinko, a sweeping drama that spans four generations of Korean immigrants, was chosen by The New York Times Book Review as one of its best books of 2017. French Bakery Opens in Ridgewood

Pierre & Michel Authentic French Bakery, which opened in Elmwood Park two years ago, has recently expanded into Ridgewood offering patisserie, bread, cakes, tarts, sandwiches and of course coffee. Parisian chefs Pierre Chayenne and Michel Kory have worked and trained in such famed Paris spots as Bellouet Conseil Paris, the famous French house LeNôtre and the Hotel Concorde Lafayette. Waldwick Band Conductor Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Waldwick Mayor Thomas Giordano presented Waldwick Band’s Edmund Moderacki with resolutions from the borough honoring him on his 40th year as the band’s conductor. Edmund is also the assistant conductor of the Ridgewood Symphony Orchestra and is on the Executive Committee of Music Educators of Bergen County. The Waldwick Band is a volunteer music organization that performs in about 20 concerts and parades every year. Performances are held at the Village School in Waldwick, and summer concerts are at the Waldwick Oval amphitheater and elsewhere around Bergen County. WaldwickBand.org

Spiritual Medium Presents Workshop at Flow Yoga in Ho-Ho-Kus

Spiritual medium Drew Cali will present his “Gallery Style” mixed event of Meditation & Messages on March 2 at Flow Yoga in Ho-Ho-Kus.
