The Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat (ECCR) in Wyckoff serves more than 110 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The group recently held its "Golf 4 Flo" outing at Haworth Country Club. The event was established by John Teresi and his family as a way to honor their sister, Florence Teresi, who has lived at ECCR since 1973.
The Annual Hermitage Food Truck Festival benefits the Hermitage Museum, a National Historic Landmark in Ho-Ho-Kus. The Gothic Revival mansion dates back to the mid-1800s and offers tours and exhibits featuring collections from its 200-plus years of history. Street2Street recently held its annual Golf Invitational at The Tuxedo Club. The organization, located in Ridgewood, helps urban at-risk youth “Play, Belong and Matter” through sports events, mentoring and personal development. Friends of the Valley Hospital were recently invited to spend an afternoon with Academy Award-nominated actor, writer and director of A Bronx Tale,Chazz Palminteri and his wife, Gianna, at The Tuxedo Club for the VHA Saddle River Valley Branch's Annual Spring Luncheon. Proceeds supported the Valley Hospital Auxiliary’s $3.1 million pledge to support Valley pediatric programs.

Stormy skies didn't dampen the spirits at the 12th annual Waldwick 5K run and 1-mile walk held on Cinco de Mayo this year. The scenic course included the Waldwick Borough Park, finishing at the new high school track. Live music and good food were on tap for all.

Ridgewood High School seniors from the Class of 2019 walked the runway at the Teaneck Marriott recently, modeling the latest fashion trends from local vendors. A red carpet event, the theme was award shows—think Oscars, Emmys and Teen Choice—and the day featured live and silent auctions. Funds raised went toward the class's Project Graduation 2019 Fund.
