The Christian Health Care Center (CHCC) recently hosted its annual gala, A Celebration of Excellence, at The Venetian in Garfield. The event honored the boards of trustees of CHCC and its Foundation, along with first responders from the towns of Hawthorne, Wayne and Wyckoff. More than 500 guests attended, including over 180 first responders.
MEVO's Fourth Annual Farm Feast Fundraiser was held at the Fresh Roots Farm in Campgaw Mountain Reservation recently. The Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat (ECCR) in Wyckoff serves more than 110 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The group recently held its "Golf 4 Flo" outing at Haworth Country Club. The event was established by John Teresi and his family as a way to honor their sister, Florence Teresi, who has lived at ECCR since 1973.
The Annual Hermitage Food Truck Festival benefits the Hermitage Museum, a National Historic Landmark in Ho-Ho-Kus. The Gothic Revival mansion dates back to the mid-1800s and offers tours and exhibits featuring collections from its 200-plus years of history. The historic house incorporates a stone structure that was visited during the Revolutionary War by George Washington and Alexander Hamilton. TheHermitage.org
Street2Street recently held its annual Golf Invitational at The Tuxedo Club. The organization, located in Ridgewood, helps urban at-risk youth “Play, Belong and Matter” through sports events, mentoring and personal development. Friends of the Valley Hospital were recently invited to spend an afternoon with Academy Award-nominated actor, writer and director of A Bronx Tale,Chazz Palminteri and his wife, Gianna, at The Tuxedo Club for the VHA Saddle River Valley Branch's Annual Spring Luncheon. Proceeds supported the Valley Hospital Auxiliary’s $3.1 million pledge to support Valley pediatric programs.
